Newly married Kourtney Kardashian has let her youngest son, Reign, undergo a major makeover. The 7-year-old is now rocking a mohawk — and we can't help but wonder if his punk-rock stepdad, Travis Barker, is the inspiration for this dramatic style change. Hopefully dad Scott Disick was on board with the trendy cut.
Kourtney shared a series of post-cut photos on Instagram
Reign shows off his newly shorn hair in three different black-and-white photos posted by his reality star mom. In them, the little boy looks a little nonplussed by the cut. And based on how he's sitting in the bathroom on a stool, surrounded by towels, we're betting Kourtney created his new 'do herself at home.
This is a bold new look for the 2nd grader
Reign, who bears a striking resemblance to his dad, has worn his hair a variety of ways over the years. From super-long locks (that caused a lot of controversy for his mom) to more conservative styles like his father, he's always had a look uniquely his own. That being said, we're really digging this edgier new hairdo.
Maybe Reign's recent travels inspired his makeover
On May 22, Kourtney tied the knot in Portofino, Italy. She and Travis had a lavish celebration that featured tons of A-list guests and high-fashion moments. Perhaps Reign picked up some style inspo while he watched the days-long event unfold. After all, considering Travis' rock music roots, we're sure that there were at least a few guests rocking 'hawks while they watched the couple say "I do."
Scott shared his own hair selfie over the weekend
Not long after Kourtney posted the snaps of Reign, Scott offered his fans a glimpse of his own tresses. The reality star uploaded a profile shot of his longer-than-normal hair and beard on Sunday. "I think I'm starting to look a lot like Jesus," he joked in his caption.
We don't know about Jesus, but Scott is definitely looking a little scruffier than normal. We can't say that we're not into it, though.
We hope the little boy is loving his new look
The mohawk is quite the departure from Reign's normal style, so we're hoping the apprehension we sensed in the photos of him is just a sign of surprise and not regret. Fortunately, even if he doesn't really love his new cut, it's not permanent. Don't worry, Reign. It's just hair — it will grow back!
