What to Know
As a favorite to her ex-husband, Khloé Kardashian appeared in Lamar Odom’s Netflix documentary to share her thoughts and her side of things after she was married to him for years. Afterward, however, according to Page Six, there were claims that Lamar bragged about using Khloé for fame and connections during their marriage. Now, Khloé has clapped back.
When Keeping Up With the Kardashians shared Khloé and Lamar’s relationship with viewers, fans were excited. They were given an inside look at the couple’s life together, and it continued on their own spinoff on which Rob Kardashian also starred. They eventually split up, however, and now, there is serious public discourse for Khloé and Lamar.
Khloé Kardashian said it’s “traumatic” to relive her life with Lamar Odom.
Khloé opened up about Lamar and the documentary on her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land after she watched it and saw that people close to Lamar made claims about him being with her for fame. And, unsurprisingly, Khloé said that she doesn’t enjoy talking about her toxic marriage where she walked away with some good memories, but a lot of not so great ones too.
“Do people think I just like talking about this all day long?” Khloé said on her podcast. “No, it’s traumatic. I have to relive things. I have to talk about things that weren’t fun in my life, right?”
She also said that she made the decision to appear in the documentary because Netflix reached out and expressed a need to include her.
“People always want to ask about the Lamar stuff. I get it. But at some point, I’m like over it, right? It’s like that chapter’s done. I’m good. He’s good. We’re good,” she said. “To do this though, what turned me was Netflix reaching out again, saying like they can’t finish it without me. And I didn’t want to do that to Lamar. So, I was like, OK, he deserves this.”
She called him out for making the documentary 11 years after his overdose.
In the documentary, Lamar’s childhood friend Anthony “Pumpkin” Booker spoke on seeing his friend get married to Khloé.
“The moves that he’s doing, he was doing it to try to better his future,” he said. He added that this was because the Kardashians had “mad connections” that Lamar was aware of. Khloé clapped back about this on her podcast.
“Like, your overdose was 11 years ago,” Khloé said, referring to Lamar. “You’re telling me that you have nothing to show for anything at the end of your documentary?” But she is now 100% finished with her ex. “Like, everything’s a joke for you. You’re not accountable for anything. I think what’s pissing me off is we did this all…I’m never going to do another Lamar thing again ‘cuz I’m all good. It’s finished.”
Lamar Odom wanted to be on reality TV.

Another bombshell during the Netflix documentary that might have struck a nerve for Khloé was his daughter from a previous relationship, Destiny Odom, straight up admitting that, although she knew her dad loved Khloé, he saw another benefit to being with the star of one of the biggest reality TV shows around at the time.
“He did love Khloé,” she said. “But he had wanted to be on reality TV for a long time.”
Lamar got that wish, but his marriage to Khloé ended in 2016 when their divorce became finalized. He appeared once on the Kardashians. But now, more than ever, Lamar is part of Khloé’s past.
