Kelly Clarkson’s Kids Join Her Onstage for an Unforgettable Performance

Kelly Clarkson's kids are natural-born performers, and they get it from their mama!

"Both of my kiddos backstage getting ready to join me onstage in Vegas ❤️ nothing will ever be as cool and amazing as these two little humans that will always have my whole heart," she captioned a photo of the kids on social media.

Before the kids took the stage, Clarkson shared that they had asked if they could “dance or sing something” during one of her shows. “I was like, 'Okay!'” she shared with the audience. “'That sounds incredible. What song do you want to do?'”

Remington was a dancing machine

He ran right up to Kelly and gave her a big hug as he made his way to the stage. He was all smiles as Kelly told the crowd he was initially scared about dancing in front of “a whole lot of people,” but she reminded him that it would be just like their home dance parties.

"You picked which song?" she asked.

"'Whole Lotta Woman,'" he said as the audience cheered.

"Get it, Remy," she cheered as he danced, beaming the whole time.

River Rose decided to sing a duet with her mom

She decided that she wanted to sing "Heartbeat Song" from Kelly's album Piece by Piece.

"Oh my God," River Rose exclaimed when she saw the crowd.

"She's been jamming to this song since she was a baby,” Kelly explained to the crowd excitedly. “She loves this song so much, so she was like, 'Can I sing this song?'”

River Rose joined her mother onstage in an adorable dress before they sang the song together.

Their performance was super sweet

A few lines in, Kelly had to make an onstage edit to the lyrics.

"Don’t say hell," she warned the 9-year-old before singing "Where the heck did you come from?"

River complied, and the performance went off without a hitch! She was a total natural onstage.

Kelly lets her kids say the swear lyrics sometimes...

While she edited the lyrics onstage, Kelly revealed that she doesn't really do that in private.

During a podcast interview, she shared that she doesn't normally play her music for her kids, but River heard the song "Whole Lotta Woman" and requested to listen to it.

"She wanted to say ‘ass’ really. She was like, ‘Can I sing ‘ass’? And I was like, ‘Only with me.’ I was like, ‘You can’t do this anywhere else,’" Kelly shared.

It's not the first time she's changed her song lyrics

Kelly has been known to tweak her song lyrics if necessary.

Earlier this month, she changed the lyrics to her song "Piece by Piece" to reflect her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The former lyrics praised him for being a present and loving husband and father, but Kelly turned them into a self-empowerment anthem.

In the original lyric, she sang "Piece by piece, he restored my faith / That a man can be kind and a father could stay," and now she sings "Piece by piece, I restored my faith / That a heart can still beat, even when it breaks."
