Katie Lee Biegel is one of television's most beloved chefs. She is also a cookbook author, a regular Today show contributor, and mom to toddler Iris.
But if you're thinking this food expert's got it down pat when it comes to what her toddler eats, think again. Turns out Katie is just like the rest of us when it comes to picky eaters. "I promise you, Iris's snacks look just like your kid's snacks," she says. "I would love for her to eat all the things that I want to make for her, but she has very little interest in it. So I usually pack a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because I know that's not going to go bad. I always pack bags of either cheddar bunnies or Goldfish. She loves those. Fruit snacks can work magic. I'm a big fan of bribery if I need it."
Katie also has big plans when it comes to summer travel, and it turns out her favorite way to travel is by train. She teamed up with Trainline to emphasize the close connection between food and travel, and revealed that traveling by train is her preferred mode of transportation. She is planning a getaway to Europe this summer. When asked if she had any tips for traveling with kids, Katie said, "I think my number-one tip is to just have low expectations of what that is going to look like. I think that you have to understand that it's a family trip, not a vacation, and so it's going to look a lot different from how your travels looked before you had children."
