Karoline Leavitt’s Pregnancy Timeline Has People Confused & There Are Theories

In early April 2026, Karoline Leavitt met with Erika Kirk on-stage at a Turning Point USA event. During the event, the women discussed a lot of things, including Leavitt’s pregnancy. But, because Leavitt revealed her due date and surprised tons of people, it left many confused and scratching their heads trying to figure out her pregnancy timeline.

Leavitt originally announced her pregnancy with her second child in December 2025. But if her due date is different than what she originally said, does that mean she was lying about something regarding her pregnancy? At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter exactly, but any inconsistencies involving Donald Trump’s press secretary is worth diving into for Trump critics.

People aren’t quite sure when she’s even due.

A TikTok user shared a clip from when Leavitt and Kirk spoke about Leavitt’s pregnancy on-stage. In the clip, Kirk tells Leavitt that she doesn’t look pregnant. To that, Leavitt admits that she is “nine months pregnant.” She was believed to be due in May 2026, so to be at her due date or even slightly past it at the beginning of April in 2026 made people ask what the heck is going on.

The TikTok user then compared a clip from the TPUSA event to when Leavitt appeared at a press briefing at the White House weeks later. It’s possible that Leavitt had the baby early, or late, depending on what the timeline is. But that’s just it. People are confused about when she was originally due, how far along she was when she announced her pregnancy, and what, if anything, it means.

As someone pointed out in the comments of the TikTok, “Pregnancy is actually 10 months. 40 weeks and can go to 43.” Leavitt could have easily said 40 weeks, but she had to go for that shock factor.

Another agreed, “Pregnancy is 40 weeks or 10 months.”

Some comments veered into conspiracy territory, including one that said, “Some other post someone said lizards lay eggs, and I stand by that statement.”

There’s a theory about Karoline Leavitt’s maternity leave.

Whatever is or isn’t going on with Leavitt’s due date and pregnancy timeline, the question of what happens to her job while she is on maternity leave is another question people have. There’s a theory that, when Leavitt goes on maternity leave in May 2026, she won’t return to her role. Some people think it was Leavitt’s plan all along, as her escape plan or aorta to leave the White House and her polarizing role.

In 2025, however, Leavitt made a big show of sharing how she works in the White House while also caring for her son, who was a baby at the time. So it’s also possible that Leavitt could use her second pregnancy as a way to further prove that, as the press secretary, she can still have it all.

Some think Erika Kirk will replace Karoline Leavitt.

If Leavitt does leave the White House after the first of her second child, according to Reddit, she might be replaced by Kirk. No one connected to the White House has said that publicly or confirmed it in any way, but it’s another theory about what comes next for both women, who have shown their allegiance to Trump time and again.

“Look at Erika,” a Redditor wrote in the post. “She’s Trump’s type. Blonde. Former beauty pageant queen. Mar-a-Lago attire. Good in front of the camera. Lies easily. Big name recognition. Loves attention. Loyal to the core. Total grifter. Even more Christian-performing than Leavitt. My prediction is the job is hers if she wants it, and I’m pretty sure she wants it.”
