Jodie has it all figured out it seems
In the papers, Jodie is proposing that she and Joshua share 50/50 custody of their 3-year-old daughter. But she doesn't want spousal support to be an option for herself or Joshua. TMZ reports that the couple doesn't have a prenup in place.
It's all happening very quickly
According to the documents, the date of separation was September 13, but according to People, the pair was spotted in New York City only a few days earlier on September 9 having dinner together to celebrate her 37th birthday.
TMZ reported that the former couple stopped following each other on Instagram about a year ago in September 2022, but their outings together this year, including at the Oscars, threw people for a loop.
Jodie and Joshua had a whirlwind romance
They met in 2018 at a party and then, as Jodie shared, had a "one-night stand."
"We're in a two-, three-year one-night stand now," she joked during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
"First of all, I saw him before he saw me, and when I saw him, I was like, 'I want that,' " she added. "And then when he saw me, I just pretended like I didn't see him."
Within in a year of meeting, they were married, and Jodie was pregnant.
The couple always spoke so lovingly about each other
"I think it's really beautiful to be with someone who is so supportive and so loving," Jodie told People in 2021. "We're so similar in so many ways. We're like mirrors for each other. And I just really love that human being."
Joshua told Andy Cohen that he knew she was "the one" during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live this year. "When she walked into the room looking like that," Joshua said.
This split is truly shocking
"When I met Josh and one of the biggest reasons why I married him, wanted him to be my husband, is because of how loved and supported I felt by him," Jodie told Forbes last year. "I had never been with anyone who I thought was wanting to lift me up the way that I felt that he was lifting me up. That is one of my favorite things about him."
Reps for both Jodie and Joshua have yet to respond.
