Jordan Janway, who was 27 years old at the time of his death in 2014 and was a skydiving instructor, was the son of Jack Janway, who died during the suspected murder-suicide on Monday in Oklahoma. Jordan collided with another skydiver in the air before being knocked unconscious, resulting in him being unable to deploy his parachute.

While in San Diego serving with the U.S. Naval Special Warfare, Jordan learned how to skydive and eventually became a master parachute rigger and free-fall instructor for Tactical Air Operations, according to his obituary. According to NBC San Diego, Jordan had done more than 1,000 jumps before his death.

Jordan went on to travel the world, jumping from mountaintops in countries like Switzerland.

As Mom.com previously reported, Jack died alongside Terry Janway and their grandson, 11-year-old Dalton Janway. Officers responded to reports of a gun in the home when they discovered the crime scene.

The sister of Johnson's wife, Chandra, took to Facebook Monday night, seemingly in disbelief of the news.

“Please tell me this isn’t really happening please god someone,” Marianne Janway posted to Facebook.

Johnson has since pulled out of a race scheduled for this weekend, and his family asked for privacy at this time.
