In a surprising yet delightful collaboration, singer and lifestyle influencer Jessie James Decker has joined forces with Jif peanut butter to save the celery during the big game this year. During an interview with Mom.com, Decker shared her favorite game-day snacks and her favorite ways to showcase the humble vegetable as a star player.
Decker, a mom of three with one on the way, boasted about her family’s favorite way to showcase the versatility and deliciousness of celery and Jif peanut butter. She also shared that it’s been one of her cravings during her pregnancy.
“I’ve been craving celery and peanut butter,” she said. “I just did a road trip a month or so ago, and we went to Florida, and that’s literally what I packed in my little lunch box for the road was Jif peanut butter and celery.”
Decker also shared that she loves to make peanut butter bars, a family favorite.
The busy mom shared that although her kids aren’t necessarily picky eaters, she still enjoys finding ways to spruce up their meals with creative and fun game day snacks. And just like most households, Decker is already thinking of her family’s game day menu and everyone’s choice of snacks.
“I’m such a foodie, I feel like I’ve definitely raised foodies,” the busy mom said, adding that her kids love chips and dip, chili, and veggie trays. “I do not have picky eaters, and I’m so glad I’ve introduced them to just the great meals, the great snacks.”
By showcasing celery paired with the wholesome goodness of Jif peanut butter, Decker hopes to discourage fans from tossing out the celery and instead, highlight the vegetable.
In addition to preparing for the big game, Decker is also preparing her home for a new addition. She shared with Mom.com that this pregnancy has been “a little bit harder.”
“I will say the first time I ever did this was 10 years ago, and let me tell you, you feel a difference from getting pregnant at 24, 25 versus where I’m at now,” the expecting mom said. “And I feel like my body has definitely had a harder time as far as just being achy and my carpal tunnel and tendinitis has been pretty rough.”
“But I also keep in mind I have three kids that I’m running after and I’m still running businesses,” Decker said. “And because I know this is my last baby, I’ve also equally been just taking it in and rubbing my belly, talking to the baby, and just getting really excited.”
