This Is How Nick Cannon’s Twins Really Feel About Having So Many Siblings

Nick Cannon may be a father of 12 now, but when his fatherhood journey started, there were only two: Monroe and Moroccan, the twins he shares with ex Mariah Carey. There's no doubt that the 12-year-olds have some feelings about all of these new baby siblings who have cropped up in their lives in the past few years, and now, we finally know what they think about the whole thing.

Nick recently opened up about his relationship with his oldest children

While appearing on the "Howie Mandel Does Stuff" podcast, Nick revealed exactly how his twins are feeling now that they have to share their dad with so many baby brothers and sisters.

"At this point, they enjoy it. They have fun and they’re the oldest," he said. "But who knows where that will go when 16 hits? I’m just trying to pay close attention to it and be as honest [with them]."

Now that they're 12, he's had some "challenging conversations" with the twins

As he told host Howie Mandel, honesty is Nick's policy when it comes to his kids, and now Monroe and Moroccan are old enough to have conversations with their dad that are a bit more complicated.

"This is my first time having 12-year-olds and I have a set of them. Now we’re having real conversations and, you know, their life is far from normal because their mom is one of the biggest entertainers to ever live and their dad is me," he said.

He's willing to admit he's not a perfect dad

He called the twins "intelligent" and "so in tune," and that means they're aware that their dad is just human.

"The thing that they do know is, ‘Hey, dad f–ks up. Dad makes mistakes. So I am so open to any of your mistakes. You’re gonna live life better than I did,'" he said.

He did predict splitting his time among so many kids could catch up with him one day

Nick said he has a feeling that eventually a kid "is gonna be very mad at me" for his choice to procreate so many times … and it does seem like that's inevitable. Along with Monroe and Moroccan, Nick is also dad to Golden Saigon, Powerful Queen, Zion, Zillion, Legendary Love, Onyx, Rise, Zeppelin, and Halo, along with his late son, Zen.

Together, these children have six different mothers, so coordinating schedules so siblings can spend time together must be nothing short of a nightmare.

Monroe and Moroccan's feelings about their siblings could change as they get older

But fortunately, it sounds like Nick is prepared to continue to have hard conversations with them and to talk things out when they're not happy about how their relationship with their dad is going.

Here's hoping that the lines of communication continue to stay open.
