Plenty of celebrity kids have visited their parents at work before, but not quite like this. During the Masters Par 3 contest on Wednesday, pro golfer Harold Varner III's toddler ran onto the green, chasing after a golf ball. This could have been a disaster!

The little boy went after a live golf ball during the event
Liam is 18 months old, and as most parents know, they tend to be a bit unpredictable at that age. This was especially true on Wednesday, when cameras caught him in action trying to grab a ball that was in play, which could have ended up being a pretty big (albeit adorable) problem.
His dad grabbed him just in time

Both Harold and his wife, Amanda Varner, ran after Liam, and his dad managed to swoop him up, laughing along the way. We have to give him credit for having a sense of humor during what was probably a stressful situation for everyone involved — except Liam, of course, who seemed to be having a blast.
Liam seemed quite pleased with all of the attention

As if the moment couldn't get any cuter than it already was, Liam even clapped for himself, prompting everyone watching to clap for him, too. It might just be us, but we have a feeling that this little guy is a star in the making. He deserves all the applause!

Later, Harold shared photos of Liam from the day
Harold took to Instagram to share photos from the incident, and it sounds like it truly made Liam's day. These pictures are too cute — he's so happy!
"Have no idea where he gets it, but Liam loved y’all clapping for him today," Harold wrote.
This will be a day Liam's parents always remember
Playing in the Masters is special enough, but Harold and Amanda's son really went the extra mile to make sure this would be an unforgettable moment for his dad.
Who knows? Maybe Liam will love the green so much that he'll grow up to follow in Harold's footsteps.
