George Clooney Says Family Would ‘Die’ if Amal Did the Cooking

George Clooney has jokes, and he's making them at his wife Amal's expense. But it's all love. During a recent red-carpet appearance, the actor quipped that while his wife may be a "brilliant lawyer," she's not the best in the kitchen, and he's more the cook in the family.

Apparently, Amal's skills in the kitchen could have a horrific end

Speaking with ExtraTV, Clooney explained that he will likely be doing some cooking over the holidays.

"I’ll tell you what. My wife, who is a brilliant lawyer, she’s one of the advocates of the world. She takes on ISIS," he explained. "But I better be doing the cooking or we will all die."

It sounds like George has a menu planned out

When asked what he will be cooking for the holidays, he explained, "I’m going to do a little Christmas turkey this year." He noted that he also made a similar meal for Thanksgiving.

"Hard to find a good one, but I found a good one, so we’re going to do Christmas turkey."

His twins have no idea who their dad is professionally

During the interview, the subject switches to Clooney's twins, Alexander and Ella. The interviewer asks about the kids' Christmas lists, but then follows it up by asking if they know what Clooney does for a living.

"At one point the other day, one of the kids at school told my kid that I was famous," Clooney shared. "My son said, ‘Papa, what’s famous?’ And I was like, ‘Where did you get that from?’ So no, no concept at all, which is great."

The twins think that he just plays for a living

In an interview with ET, Clooney explained that his 6-year-old twins think that his job is very wet.

"They think that all I do is play in the water," he said. "I did a movie a couple years ago called Midnight Sky. I had to shoot stuff in a tank, and they came to visit. I'm like in, you know, clothes, but I'm in a tank, and they just assume that I swim."
