"His first language is Spanish, I didn't grow up speaking Spanish," Longoria said during an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “But because we lived in Mexico City and I was just shooting in Spain, he’s super fluent and he corrects me all the time.

The actress added that her son will even give her a bit of an attitude when correcting her.

"Oh my god, Mom," she recalled her son often saying to her.

"I’m like, 'You’re 4! Easy. Easy,'" she said. "He's so disappointed with my Spanish."

During the interview with Clarkson, the 48-year-old also highlighted the importance of having a parent who shows up at school and advocates for her child. She added that growing up, her mom was heavily involved in her education and childhood.

"In the moment she was so annoying because she would go to the school for everything," Longoria said. "To have a mom like that advocate for you at school is super life-changing and important looking back now."
