The couple had never previously spoken about the loss

"We lost a baby last year," the caption on the song's lyric video begins. "Just when we thought we were in a good place to tell friends + family we received the heavy news that our little one wasn’t going to make it, we’ve both been through hard things in our lives but this was a different kind of sadness."

They dedicated the song to anyone who has dealt with loss, not just pregnancy loss

"This song is for anyone that has experienced loss in any form. We hope it brings whoever listens some kind of peace & reminds you that a rainbow isn’t far behind," they ended the caption.

In the video, BC can be seen singing in a long coat that shows off her bump, while Mark plays the guitar.

Mark and BC announced that they were expecting their rainbow baby over the summer

Back in June, the couple shared an Instagram reel for their pregnancy announcement. "Life lately," they captioned the post.

In the video, they share that "lately we've been…making new music, making birthday wishes, went to Disneyland, made more music stuff, turned off our phones and went to the beach, car rides with our best mate, boba tea, made more music," the video text reads.

"Also," the video says, showing the pair in the studio, "we've been making… a tiny human." The video ends with Mark cradling BC's bump as their dog looks on.

Since the announcement, they've shared lots of photos and videos

Both BC and Mark have shared a bunch of cute video and photo updates, letting fans and friends in on how the pregnancy is going. In one video, they shared how their friends, including current DWTS judge Derek Hough, reacted to the news of the pregnancy.

Mark also shared the video where he found out that he was going to be a dad, as well as a video of the first time they got to see a sonogram of the baby moving.

Baby even got to go to their first concert

Recently, Mark shared a video of him and BC having a night out to see Coldplay perform.

"Went to baby’s first concert the other night to see @coldplay it was a beautiful night, we sang, danced, randomly ran into friends & had a lovely time, baby was busy kicking the whole show & even got a new T shirt ," he captioned the post.
