"Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital," a family representative told TMZ. "He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information."

According to the family representative, the 18-year-old athlete was initially taken into ICU but is now in stable condition.

"LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes," the rep's statement continued.

At 9:26 a.m. local time, a 911 call was made from the school's practice facility before Bronny was rushed to the hospital unconscious during a Code 3 emergency. The news outlet reported that the code results in ambulance lights and sirens.

The medical emergency comes after the family was recently seen at the Espys, where LeBron was recognized for breaking the NBA's all-time scoring record, according to Sports Illustrated.
