Professional wrestling team members Nikki and Brie Bella are twins, they both got pregnant around the same time last year — and they both had boys, a day apart. Their sons get to basically grow up as twins, too, even though they're cousins. Brie named her son Buddy, and Nikki named hers Matteo — and they are so cute. Seriously, the photos of Nikki and Brie Bella's newborns will bowl anyone over with their adorableness. The boys even look alike, further adding to the basically twins situation.
Matteo was born first on July 31, and is the first child for Nikki and her fiancé, Artem Chigvintsev of Dancing with the Stars fame. Then came Buddy on August 1, bringing Brie's family with wrestler husband Daniel Bryan up to four. (They are proud parents to a 3-year-old little girl named Birdie.)
Based on how cute Matteo and Buddy are, we hope that Nikki and Bella end up having a whole bunch of kids — and, if they do, maybe they'll even time it so they can be pregnant together again. It has to be fun to go through something like that with a sister. Until they pop out babies two and three, though, let's take a look at how cute their current newborns are.
Cover stars
Brie and Nikki's sons are practically twins themselves, because they were born only a day apart. Not long after they came into the world, they graced the cover of People magazine. (Now that's a way to start life off!) They look so similar that People needed to put arrows indicating which baby was which. We can't wait to see what they look like as they get older.
Holding hands
This is the first photo Brie Bella posted of baby Buddy. Just a couple of proud parents holding hands with their son. He may have tiny hands, but Buddy's grasping Bella's finger with all his might. "We are overwhelmed with joy and everyone is healthy!!!" she captioned the pic.
Tiny hands
Like how Brie's first image of Buddy was the family holding hands? Welp, Nikki's was similar. (Twins sure think alike, huh?) Nikki posted Matteo gently grabbing her finger, while Artem wrapped a protective hand around his son — and she posted that as the first glimpse of her newborn. Quite an entrance into the IG world.
Ready for his close-up
Nikki waited a couple of weeks before she shared her son's face on Instagram. At first, she just showed his tiny hand, but on August 26, she gave fans the chance to see Matteo's face. He's such a cute baby, and he really looks like he's posing for his big Instagram close-up.
Sleeping beauties
As the saying goes for parents of newborns: Sleep when they sleep. Matteo's dad Artem took that advice to heart, and Nikki captured the cute moment for Instagram. "Dada needed nap time as much as Teo," Artem joked in the caption.
We feel that.
Football season
The NFL is back in full swing, and Brie and her husband, Daniel, couldn't resist dressing Buddy up for the occasion. Brie's an Eagles fan, and Daniel likes the Seahawks, so Buddy is gonna have a difficult choice when he gets old enough to pick a team. We're just team supercute baby.
Supporting dad
To celebrate the recent premiere of Dancing With the Stars, Good Morning America sent little Matteo a sparkly DWTS onesie. Artem is one of the pros on the reality show, and Matteo looks so cute being his dad's little fan. "My number one supporter," Artem proudly captioned this pic.
Little koala
Brie captioned this photo of baby Buddy, "My little koala," and she's so right. He's giving mama a big koala bear hug as he naps on her stomach. Sleeping babies are so peaceful, it's easy to forget that they can sometimes be total terrors when they wake up. We've just gotta enjoy every sleepy moment we can.
Big smile
Whatever Matteo keeps dreaming about that make him smile, we want to dream about it too! Look at this big grin, it's so cute. (His whale onesie is too adorable.) Everything about this photo is the best. We're glad that Artem will have this memory to look back on some day.
Crazy hair
Matteo's already got quite the head of hair on him for a newborn, but he probably gets that from his handsome dad, who has pretty great hair himself. Nikki joked in the caption for this photo that with the back sticking up, and the front swooshing to the side, baby Matteo was giving her "full emo vibes."
Sibling playtime
Brie's daughter, Birdie, is no longer the baby of the family, but it seems like she's getting along pretty well with her baby bro. Brie captured this cute shot of her 3-year-old daughter playing alongside a sleeping Buddy, and she captioned it, "This makes me sooo happy." Here's hoping they grow up to best friends. No sibling rivalry here!
Little laughs
Nikki made some funny faces at Matteo to elicit his little baby laugh, and it makes for such a cute pic. A giggly baby is one of the best sounds around — next to the sweet silence of a sleeping baby, of course — and the love between mom and son just radiates off this photo (and through the screen) to anyone looking at it.
Chilling outdoors
Artem got in some father-son bonding time recently, with his little one snuggled up in a carrier. The two were outside in the fresh air, and Artem gave Matteo some kisses on the head while he slept. These are the memories that first-time parents just never want to forget.
Snuggles
This is just the sweetest selfie between mom and son. Brie's son, Buddy, looks like he's posing for the camera and everything. He's learned a lot about how to look cute in pictures since joining the world. Those newborn snuggles are some of the best parts of having a baby, and Brie is soaking in every moment of them while she can.
Tiny feet
"Dancing feet?" Artem captioned this photo. As a pro dancer, Dad probably wants his son to pick up ballroom as a hobby, too. Matteo's got some time to go before that can happen, but in the meantime, he sure has some sweet little feet. Baby feet and baby hands are just so impossibly small and perfect.
Nap time
With the sunlight streaming in, and Bella totally posing for these pics, they almost look professional. But they're just selfies to document more of Buddy's sweet sleeping poses. He is so out here, just snoozing away while mom snaps photos to remember these moments by.
Wide-eyed
Buddy is only a few weeks old in this photo, but his personality is already starting to shine through. Here, he looks a little miffed that the camera is in his face, but Bella probably couldn't resist capturing his sleepy face. (He just has the cutest giant eyes!) They're taking in the world around him and helping him learn so much in these early days.
Multitasking
Moms know multitasking all too well, and Nikki got a crash course in it when she had to tape her podcast while attending to baby Matteo. Looks like she managed to balance it all and keep her little boy sleeping soundly. We're so proud, Nikki. Welcome to the mom club.
Sweet dreams
Nothing like a baby all snuggled up in a cactus print onesie and smiling while he sleeps. Matteo seems like such a happy baby, which must be nice for his mom and dad since they're first-time parents. Hopefully, he's as much of a dream in real life as he seems on Instagram.
One month old
"Our Matteo is a month old today," Nikki captioned this photo. Even at just four weeks, he has such a personality coming out. (Look at those sweet eyes and his little smile.) We're in love with this baby — and he's not even ours! Nikki and Artem sure made a cute kid together. We can't wait for them to hurry up and have another.
