‘Bachelor’ Alum Sarah Herron Welcomes Twins Two Months Early: ‘Took Us All by Surprise’

Bachelor alum Sarah Herron and husband Dylan Brown are exhausted but so in love. They took to Instagram on July 6, 2024, to share the good news. Sarah gave birth to twin girls on July 1. Evy and Coco made their world debut two months early.

The girls and their mom are doing great. The twins will remain in the NICU to get stronger before going home. Their birth comes less than two years after the death of their brother, baby Oliver, who was also born prematurely.

Sarah posted a sweet video with some of the twin’s life highlights so far. “World, meet Everette Rae & Colette Rose (Evy & Coco) born July 1st 2024,” she began her caption. “Fraternal twin sisters, our little 32-weekers took us all by surprise a whopping 7.5 weeks early We’re all adjusting to life in the NICU as we have a long road ahead of us — undeniably filled with twists and turns — but the girls are fighters and getting stronger every day — we all are.”

Sarah went on to thank her medical team for their hard work. She also expressed gratitude to her fans for their continued prayers. She plans to rest up and love the girls fiercely.

Sarah continued giving updates in her stories. She shared pumping breast milk is going well. She also opened up about the girls’ birth story. It was just another normal day or so she thought. “One week ago today I was folding baby laundry and thought I had bad food poisoning. I was vomiting and had diarrhea that got worse by the hour,” she recalled. “Dylan was flying home from a work trip.”

“Dylan made it home by 4pm,” she continued on another slide. “This was me at 7pm. I couldn’t even eat soup. By 10pm I started contracting 4 minutes apart. At 11pm my water broke and it was off to the races! the girls were here at 2am!” It was a whirlwind day to say the least.

Sarah and Dylan have been transparent about their journey to parenthood, even when grieving. The couple met in 2017 after Sarah appeared on season 17 of The Bachelor and seasons 1 and 3 of Bachelor in Paradise. When trying to have a baby naturally, Sarah and Dylan discovered she had diminished ovarian reserve. The couple turned to IVF. Their son Oliver died shorty after being born in 2023.

Sarah vows that the girls will know about Oliver. When the time is right, she will explain “that they had a big brother who was one year older than them, and even though his soul wasn’t able to stay and play, he’ll be watching over them for eternity.”
