Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh is growing up. Recently she turned 18, and seems to be making a big change: dropping the surname Pitt from her hyphenated last name. Outlets are reporting that she filed to change her name from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie legally. Shiloh seems to be following in the footsteps of several of her siblings.

Earlier this month, People reported that Shiloh's little sister, 15-year-old Vivienne, was listed as Vivienne Jolie instead of Jolie-Pitt in the Playbill for the new Broadway musical The Outsiders, which the teen co-produced alongside mom Angelina. No one has confirmed whether the change was legal or simply professional.
Angelina and Brad's oldest daughter, Zahara, has also chosen to go only by Jolie. Zahara unofficially made the announcement that she only uses her mom’s last name during an induction ceremony into the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. at Spelman College. She introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” in a video that was shared by Essence on Instagram.
It isn't just their daughters who seem to want nothing to do with dad's last name. A 2021 story from Us Weekly claims that oldest son Maddox, who Angelina adopted before her relationship with Brad, also stopped using the name Pitt.
“He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support,” a source told the outlet at the time.
Since their contentious split, it has been reported that Brad has had a strained relationship with his kids as he and his ex went through a nasty custody battle.
"Since Angelina filed for divorce, Brad has been focused on having the best relationship possible with his kids," a source told People in 2022. "It's been very difficult for him. Many times, there have been long gaps where he didn't see the kids at all."
