Andy Cohen needs a New Year's Eve cocktail. And he's begging CNN to rethink their alcohol ban for the NYE broadcast that he hosts with Anderson Cooper. In fact, Andy is making it his mission to get the decision overturned.

While he was at BravoCon, Andy told Justin Sylvester and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton from E! News that he asked the network if they'd reconsider their decision.
"I haven't heard anything yet, but come on, they need to let us drink. It's New Year's Eve," he said.
Speaking about the decision, Andy explained, "That didn't go well last year in terms of viewer happiness about us drinking. People really cared, and I hope CNN gives the people what they want."
"Give the daddies some juice," he said, jokingly referring to himself and Anderson, who are both dads to young kids.
During a June appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Andy spoke openly about his feelings on the ban.
"What a bungle," he said. "People want to see me make Anderson giggle, and they love to see him do shots," he added.
He then explained that he and Anderson tried to get creative with the ways they kept themselves and their viewers entertained during the show. He also called their attempts to "get around" the ban "stupid."
Before the ban was put in place, Andy told People about his plans for him and Anderson to drink and have a fun time during their New Year's Eve coverage.
"My only direction is to have fun. That's what I plan to do, and I'm happy to cocktail it up," he said. "I think people enjoy seeing me feed Anderson shots and that's on the menu."
