Gayle Thompson is a freelance writer based in Nashville, Tenn., writing for The Boot and Country Weekly, among others. Much of her time is spent delving into the lives of celebrities and interviewing artists like Keith Urban, Vince Gill and Chris Carmack—and then there was the time she got to interview Kevin Bacon. When not writing, she can be found cooking, reading and hanging out with her husband and son, dreaming of traveling the world. Her family is also eagerly awaiting finalizing the adoption of their 1-year-old daughter from India, who should arrive by the end of 2016. Also, she firmly believes chocolate is a food group.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Most of my toys were hand-me-downs or shared with my sister, but I did have a doll named Katie that was all mine, and I loved her fiercely—so much so that by the time I outgrew her, she had no hair.
