The "Homeland" star and the "Girls" creator grew up in the same New York City neighborhood and have a mutual friend in common. Claire Danes even hijacked an Emmys interview with Lena Dunham and Ryan Seacrest, just to say hi to her friend.

While Danes stole the mic from Seacrest, the two actresses bonded over their love of "Scandal."

Who doesn't love "Scandal"?

The two have remained tight ever since, and Busy Philipps is often Michelle Williams' "plus one" on the red carpet. The two are so tight that they often vacation together, complete with Instagrammed selfies documenting their travails.

The "Happyish" actor and the "Gravity" star have been friends long before George Clooney was the object of everyone's desire. The two are so tight that Clooney, a notorious practical joker, pranked Kind in a long con that lasted, he tells CBS News, "five or six years," which had Clooney convincing Kind that a terrible painting Clooney had found was painted by him — and gave it to him for his 40th birthday! The painting even hung in Kind's living room for five years before he learned that the joke was on him.

Fortunately, their long-lasting friendship is no joke.

Jenny from the block and "The King of Queens" star have been friends for years. So naturally when Leah Remini made her now-famous exit from the Church of Scientology, Jennifer Lopez publicly came to her defense, saying, "When you're raised a certain way and you're around people, you know, for a long time, you know, whatever that is it's gonna be hard, so … we're good friends."

Lopez even crafted special rings for all her besties, including Remini, that said, "I Love Me." Let's hope Lopez remembers that the next time she decides to get married.

Turns out fans aren't the only ones writing letters to their favorite stars. Movie stars like Reese Witherspoon are not above fan-girling their favorite celebs. So after seeing the movie "The Impossible," Witherspoon had to write Naomi Watts a letter.

Looks like it worked. The two have been photographed going to and from yoga and the gym together.

Long before the two funnymen co-starred in "Talladega Nights," they were just two super-famous guys hanging out. As for why the two are so tight, the "Wreck-It Ralph" star sings Will Ferrell's praises, saying, "We just really hit it off. I feel like I've known him since we were kids. There are a lot of comedians who are very dark and competitive, but he's not like that at all. He's just a very decent guy."
