Writer at De Su Mamá, Vanessa Bell is building a legacy for her biracial children through memoir writing, explorations of personal identity and the documentation of traditions, travel and food culture. She is a Cuban American and bicultural Latina in an interracial marriage who aspires to raise bilingual children in a monolingual home. Vanessa believes in creating a purposed-legacy and is driven to help other parents do the same. In addition to her blog, you can find Vanessa writing about the joys and struggles of bilingual aspirations at SpanglishBaby.

A baby doll made of cloth with a plastic head who I named Honey and would always give a bath because she smelled like mildew.
