Shannan is an editor and writer. She is the author of the short story collection "Easy for You" and the children's book "The Watermelon in the Sukkah." Her work has also appeared in Self, Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Prevention. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and dog Zooey, soon to be big sister to a baby on the way.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I loved the game Operation, having to remove all the little pieces without triggering the buzz! There was a little rubber band that was always the most thrilling to pluck out.
