Sarah Bregel is a mother, writer, feminist and deep-breather based in Baltimore, Md. The birth of her first child in 2010 led to the birth of her writing career, when she realized no one wanted to talk constantly about birth, babies or the messy business of being a mom. So she started TheMediocreMama.com. She has since contributed to HuffPost Parents, Scary Mommy, The Mid, WashPost-OnParenting, SheKnows, Parents, Mamalode, XOJane and more. Her essay entitled "I never planned on being a parent" appears in the 2015 anthology, It's Really 10 Months—Special Delivery. Follow her on Instagram @themediocremama.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I think my favorite childhood toy was probably a skip-it or a pogo stick. Really anything repetitive that I could burn off my ADHD energy with. Also: playing songs on repeat and handheld Sega.
