Nicole Blades is a writer, storyteller, author, journalist, runner, and blogger. She’s also the mother of perhaps the most delightful boy on the spinning globe. Her debut novel, Earth’s Waters, was published in 2007 and she’s currently working on different book projects. Nicole also runs Ms. Mary Mack blog, which hopes to bring compassion and common sense back to parenthood.
What was your favorite toy as a child?
I liked my heavy-duty, "could be used as a weapon today," Sesame Street play + carry house with all the characters. They were hard plastic w/ round heads and you could stick your finger in the bottom of them and use them as puppets.
I also was very found of this black baby doll. His clothes were missing. I liked to feed him real peanut butter from a tiny spoon, so the little smiling opening that was his mouth was stuffed w/ crusty peanut butter. Pretty gross.
