What was your favorite childhood toy?
American Girl dolls became THE thing when I was in elementary school. My family lived in a rambling, old Victorian house, so, of course, I wanted Samantha. She's one of the few toys I've moved with me into adulthood. I keep her and her tiny school books and clothes tucked in my guestroom closet, awaiting the day my girls are old enough to love her without destroying her. We've already begun reading the American Girl books, and I'm looking forward to sharing the treasures of my childhood (in a year or two).
