Janssen Bradshaw

Janssen Bradshaw blogs at Everyday Reading about modern motherhood with a practical spin. A former children’s librarian, she’s always maxing out her library cards and wondering if a book would be better accompanied by something chocolate (the answer is never no). She and her husband currently live in North Carolina with their three little girls.

What was your favorite childhood toy?

One Christmas, when I was about 9, my two sisters and I all got American Girl dolls. My parents were pretty frugal and we never imagined we'd get a gift like this. After years of playing with the paper doll versions and poring over every edition of the catalog, it was a dream come true and we played with them daily for YEARS. Now that I have three girls, I'm dreaming of the day they each get an American Girl doll of their own.
