Em is a Midwestern mama of a toddler and twin babies. She started blogging during her struggle with infertility. She works part-time outside the home, makes a mean sugar cookie, waits all year for the state fair, and could read all day long. She blogs (when she should probably be sleeping) at Teach Me to Braid. Her favorite topics are motherhood, spirituality, and what happens when infertile people become parents. A major theme of her blog is acknowledging the fact that the best things in our lives are usually equal parts blessing and struggle. She especially loves encouraging moms of young children.
What's your favorite childhood toy?
My American Girl doll, Samantha. Those dolls were huge in my neighborhood. We read the American Girl books and magazines cover to cover. We loved the clothes and accessories. I'm pretty sure there were just as many American Girl dolls living on my the block as there were people. To us, American Girl was more than a toy. It was a lifestyle.
