Christina Simon is co-author of Beyond the Brochure: An Insider's Guide to Private Elementary Schools in Los Angeles. Christina and her family have survived the very stressful, intimidating private school admissions process — twice each for her 14-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son. Both kids now attend Viewpoint School. She's also the mom of an adorable pit bull rescue named Cocoa, who acts like a third child.
