Carmen C. Rivera is a freelance writer who began her career as a newspaper reporter. Shortly thereafter, she was fortunate enough to advance to the interactive world when the dot coms were taking over media. Currently, her career has taken a turn toward magazine publishing where she handles media relations and PR for Chicago magazine and Hoy, Chicago's Spanish-language daily newspaper. While Carmen's first true passion is expression by way of the pen, she is a self-proclaimed comic book nerd and lover of 80's new wave music.
