Anna Boorstin is a mother to three grown sons, each one taller than the last. Though the clamor in the house was a bit overwhelming, she managed to keep writing, even if it was only in her exalted capacity as Room Mother, Library Volunteer, Board Member and College Interviewer. Before her adventures in parenting, she worked on movies in several unglamorous capacities, including (and mostly) as a sound editor. She is currently writing, sending out her writing, and minding Strider, her large Airedale Terrier who, thankfully, will never go to college.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
I loved my model horses – an entire collection with carefully chosen names, biographies and complicated adventures, (which sometimes occurred on paper and sometimes in my head). When not playing with them or listening to Gilbert and Sullivan, I read and read and read.
