Growing up a seasoned summer-camper, Amanda never thought she could actually make a living doing arts and crafts. Usually found buried under piles of yarn balls, beads, and pom-poms, with glitter stuck somewhere, but always, to her person, Amanda has found a way to make this possible.
As Lifestyle Director at Parents magazine from 2007 to 2013, Amanda Kingloff oversaw all D.I.Y. content for the print magazine, the iPad edition, and Parents.com, including holiday craft stories, birthday party ideas, family activities, stylish home makeovers, and organizing solutions. Before joining the staff of Parents, Amanda worked as a craft, garden, and decorating stylist for Katie Brown, a nationally recognized lifestyle personality.

What was your favorite toy as a child?
My favorite toy growing up was LITE-BRITE, and I swear, if I had one, I'd still play with it today! Once my kids are past the choking hazard age, they may have to fight me for it!
