What to Know
I’ll admit, I didn’t know who Daniel Coleman, also known as Danny Go, was until recently. As the mom of a tween, I am not well versed in who is popular with preschoolers anymore. Sadly, I only learned about Coleman because his 14-year-old son recently died after being diagnosed with cancer. It’s always tragic when someone loses their child, especially when they’ve been sick for a long time. But not only did I learn how popular Coleman is as a children’s performer, but how the performer community supports each other when tragedy strikes.
It is a very sad story.
On May 22, 2026, Daniel Coleman shared the sad news that his son, Isaac Daniel Coleman had died on May 21.
“Oh my sweet boy. There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process,” he began his tribute.
“Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit…and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac! Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”
Several people shared their condolences in the comments of the post, including Blippi, who wrote, “I’m so sorry for your loss. The bravest knight will never be forgotten 🤍 sending love to you and your family.”
Simon Wiggle, whose real name is Simon Pryce, from the original Wiggles, wrote, “Sending all our love and prayers.” Bhad Bhabie also left a message for the grieving dad, writing, “Praying for you , an your family . You bring so much joy to mine . May god bless you .🙏🏼”
Unsurprisingly, Ms. Rachel made it a point to acknowledge the tragedy.
While many parents and fellow children’s performers commented on Coleman’s previous posts about Isaac’s health, Rachel Accurso, aka Ms. Rachel made a point to create a call to arms for emotional support.
“Hi wonderful parent and caregiver community — Please send so much love and so many thoughts and prayers to Danny Go and his beautiful family. Danny’s precious son passed away. We are so sorry for their loss and are thinking about their son’s amazing joy and their immense pride,” she wrote in a text note shared on Instagram.
In the post’s caption, she added, “Let’s all turn on Danny Go @dannygo_official today and send so much love and so many prayers and wrap them up in support ❤️🩹”
“They give so much love, sending them so much love, praying for them,” Mychal Threets, a popular librarian TikTokker, commented.
“Devastating. My little boy loves your videos @dannygo_official – he has cancer but you still make him dance. He talks about the giant pink tiger all the time as well. Thank you for that. I’m so sorry for your loss. Our hearts are with you,” author Omar Sakr wrote.
“You and Danny Go have been staples in my house over the last 3.5 years. It breaks my heart to know someone who has brought such joy to our child is hurting with the loss of his own,” another person commented.
“Sending you so much love @dannygo_official . You have made our world so bright. Our hearts are with you and wrapping you in strength,” another comment read.
Coleman has been transparent about his son’s struggles.
In December 2025, he announced on his personal Instagram page that cancer had been found in Isaac’s mouth. He explained that it was one of many other health problems that had come up, but they remained hopeful.
Due to Isaac’s diagnosis, Coleman made the decision to cancel a Danny Go live tour for 2026, which was announced in February 2026.
“Dancing with so many of you in person over the last 18 months has been a true joy & we hope to get another tour rolling when the time is right,” he wrote.
