Kylie Kelce’s Hot Take on Disney Parks Is Dividing Parents & Disney Adults Are Not Happy

As a kid, one of my dreams was to go to Disney World. I haven’t been, but I have been to Disneyland a few times. Since I live in Southern California, it’s an easy trip, and it’s great because you can do the park in one day. I love Disney, and I’m not a “Disney Adult,” but I find the concept fascinating. So when self-professed Disney Adult Brenda Song talked to Kylie Kelce about her love for Disney for Kelce’s podcast, I was into it. And then Kelce made a point about who really gets the most out of a visit to the theme park, and it’s an interesting take.

Brenda Song is proud of being a certified Disney Adult.

Song took pride in the title, telling Kelce she could draw her a map of the best ways to tackle the theme park so that the whole family has a good time. You can tell she’s a Disney pro.

“I feel like me and Mac love Disneyland more than our children do,” she said, referring to her longtime partner Macaulay Culkin. The couple share two sons, Dakota and Carson.

But for Song, Disneyland is a deep part of who she is.

“Just as a kid, growing up, it was always there and having worked on Disney Channel in my teenage years, we would just go after work, they always had events there,” she explained.

“We went so often, it was kinda like the coolest backyard in the world,” she said. “So it feels like home. But Disney World to me is truly like the most magical place.”

One of her favorite features? The “Minnie Van,” where people can ride in a minivan covered in Minnie’s red and white polka dot pattern.

“It’s a pun and it’s like Minnie Mouse, I love everything! I love Disney so much,” she said.

Kylie Kelce came in with a piping hot take.

After Song’s profession of love for all things Disney, Kelce came through with a thought that most people would find controversial.

“I have realized that it is not for the kids, it’s for us,” she said. “And as adults, we can appreciate the magic and also the food and beverage and also, our legs can do it. It’s a lot.”

Kylie Kelce and husband Jason share four daughters under the age of seven. Walking around a theme park as big as Disney is a lot for a bunch of little legs. The family tends to go to Walt Disney World since they live on the east coast, and I bet that’s why she feels the way she does.

Disney World is overwhelming when you have a bunch of little kids. Disneyland has a much different energy and pace. Kelce admitted she’s never been, but I wonder if she’d feel like it’s more kid friendly.

People were really feeling the conversation.

“Hi I’m requesting for Brenda to return with a full Disneyland itinerary,” one person commented.

“Most magical backyard in the world is the perfect description. I was a cast member for 15 years and my kids didn’t know that Disneyland cost money. It was quite the thing to explain when we moved across the country and had to tell them a Disney trip took years to save for,” someone else wrote.

“Exactly. The ‘Disney adults’ stereotypes are so lame. Most of us are just whimsical hotties 😂” another person wrote.

“🙌 this is so good ! The best part of being a Disney adult is being an unapologetic Disney adult.”

“The BEST way to do Disney is without the kids. I said what I said 😂,” someone else wrote.

“When your kids grow into Disney adults…that’s when the real fun begins!” another comment reads.

“I went to Disneyland as a kid and then later as an adult and I had way more fun the second time,” another person wrote.

“Going to Disneyland for the first time next week! 👏 It’s for the kids but absolutely for the adults more!” someone said.

“YESSSSS!! Every time I go to Disney, my words on repeat ‘oh, Disneys def not for kids’ °o°”
