What to Know
Only Kim Kardashian could make hoarding look glamorous. Well, sort of. She hasn’t exactly kept her warehouse of catalogued clothes a secret, but when someone posted a video of her showing off her clothes from over the years where she stores them in a video on X, for some, it was a thought they’d never had. Because really, where do celebrities keep the thousands of dresses or outfits they’ve worn over the years?
Something tells me they don’t go through their closets every season and choose what to keep and donate like us normies do. But for people who were a little shocked at Kim’s way of hanging onto her iconic looks from past events and phases of her life, her warehouse of clothes reads as more of a wealthy hoarder situation.
Kim Kardashian’s warehouse is as large as a thrift shop.

Imagine going shopping in your own house… extreme hoarding. Imagine how many people could benefit from all this stuff collecting dust in warehouses 😭 pic.twitter.com/Qq0olDNtsD
In the video, which is a clip from the Hulu show The Kardashians, Kim says she “collects memories.” Sure, tell that to the warehouse that looks like an actual thrift store with racks of clothes that most people probably couldn’t afford in their everyday lives. But the issue isn’t how expensive Kim’s clothes are that she has kept in a reportedly climate-controlled environment. Instead, it’s the fact that she has so many items that she keeps.
“I kind of kept everything for the kids,” Kim says in the video. She later says, “There’s so many amazing memories in here. I’m so glad that I have the space and the place to keep it all.”
The user who posted the clip wrote, “Imagine going shopping in your own house… extreme hoarding. Imagine how many people could benefit from all this stuff collecting dust in warehouses.”
“She’s totally allowed to have all the things her money can buy and have them be just hers,” one user commented on the X post. “But…reality check, she could also donate so much stuff and actually help people instead of influence.”
Someone else joked, “I thought that was the Salvation Army!”
“So annoying,” an X user added. “Who cares how much she has and how much she hoards? She is out of touch.”
Someone a bit more in touch wrote, “I’m middle class and I go through my closets seasonally and donate to local shelters and thrift store programs. And here’s this woman with storage units of stuff she probably hasn’t seen in years.”
In the clip, Kim goes through some of ex Kanye West’s clothes in the warehouse and picks out some items to take home to her kids. In that way, maybe saving some of her clothes and some of Kanye’s outfits isn’t such a bad idea. But to save everything of this magnitude is wild.
She has everything cataloged so she can find different outfits and dresses.
If Kim’s warehouse of clothes is considered hoarding, then it’s the most organized version of hoarding most people have seen. Kim keeps it all organized by dates and it’s cataloged. The warehouse also has organized bins with accessories or shoes that are also labeled.
Someone also commented on the X post with the video, “I bet she’s never seen the majority of it even once. Celebs constantly have things given to them for free and her staff likely just catalogs it away for her if she’s not interested.”
According to Mayo Clinic, hoarding disorder is defined as “an ongoing difficulty throwing away or parting with possessions because you believe that you need to save them.” It also “often creates extremely cramped living conditions with only narrow pathways winding through stacks of clutter.” Kim might not meet all the criteria, but she definitely has a lot of stuff saved that she seems to have a hard time letting go of.
She also has clothes available through the Kardashian Kloset.
It’s possible that Kim does part ways with her clothes from time to time and that’s how the family resale website Kardashian Kloset gets its inventory from her. The website features categories for each member of the Kardashian-Jenner family and clothes and accessories they once owned that fans can buy now.
For Kim, there’s an “archival” Chanel dress for $2,995. You can also buy a rare Valentino dress and gloves set for $15,000. So hey, maybe Kim really is getting rid of some things, though likely at a painstakingly slow pace.
