What to Know
Being the wife or girlfriend of a professional athlete feels way too stressful. In the past decade, people are paying more attention to these women, also known as WAGs, than in the past. These women are joining the ranks of celebrity WAGs like Taylor Swift, Simone Biles and Hailee Steinfeld. And their proximity to the fame of their athlete partners has made these women famous in their own right, like Kylie Kelce. But the attention isn’t always positive. Leanna Lenee, wife of Jacksonville Jaguars player Travis Hunter, has some advice for those entering the WAG life as someone who has been through it.
Her video is quite tongue-in-cheek.

Leanna Lenee said she’d seen other women making videos with advice, so she thought she’d share her own two cents.
“Here’s my advice: don’t get in the camera, because if you get in the camera too much, you are an attention whore and you want this to revolve around you,” she advised. “But also don’t avoid the cameras and sit down and try to dodge the cameras, because then you don’t care about your boyfriend or fiancé or husband, and supposedly other people are gonna tell you, sit up, when really you’re just trying to hide from cameras.”
“Don’t hug him before his mom hugs him, because then that’s wrong and his mother should hug him first,” she also warned. “But also hug him before his mom, because then it’s gonna look like someone’s trying to tell you to go hug him, when really you’re just trying to let their mom hug them first.”
She also addressed crying on camera, saying that if you cry too much, people will call you “dramatic,” but if you don’t cry enough, “you don’t care about him and you’re just there for money.”
Lenee listed a few more contradictions before telling them, “just don’t go.”
The comments were full of love.
“U got this one😂,” Travis commented.
“Literally damned if u do and damned if u don’t 😂😂,” one person wrote.
Another commenter said “they had you f’d up draft night 😂😂😂😂I was irritated for you.”
Someone else added “you’re so strong for being able to joke about this when it probably was one of the hardest times for you in life 🥹 people really forced the hate, you’re really a sweet person 🥰.”
“The haters can stay mad😝yall will never make me hate thee Mrs.HUNTER,” another commenter wrote.
Leanna has faced her fair share of criticism.

Lenee faced backlash in December 2025 when Hunter won the Heisman trophy. In a video that circulated around social media, Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders was seen telling her to stand up and applaud her man.
Things only got worse when a second video began going around, allegedly showing her acting impatient as Hunter met with fans.
Lenee addressed the backlash directly in a TikTok, People reported.
“What y’all don’t know off of a seven-second clip, is those weren’t fans, by the way, he had already finished that part,” she said, adding that she had been at the event “the entire time, taking pictures, talking to them, everything.”
“The things that I see people make up is truly crazy,” she said. “Because it’s not what happened, and I just think people are just finding every single little thing and trying to make it something it’s not.”
Travis also addressed the controversy himself.
Hunter shared his thoughts during a Twitch livestream, telling his fans Lenee had cried herself to sleep over all the drama, People reported.
“You know the hurt when you just cry yourself to sleep,” he said, adding that she drank a lot of alcohol in an attempt to feel better.
“I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years,” he said. “Y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man.”
He also warned that “clickbait pages” “better stop” posting content suggesting bad things for the couple, or “something bad gonna happen.”
“Y’all hate on me and then y’all go hate on my girl. I feel the same pain that she feel,” he said. “We’re unseperable [sic], we’re with each other. If she hurting, of course I’m going to be hurting.”
