Singer Charlie Puth and his wife Brooke Sansone Puth announced the arrival of their first child, a son named Jude, born March 13, according to PEOPLE. The couple shared the news through a joint Instagram post featuring photos of their newborn.
“Hey Jude 🩵 3.13.26,” they wrote in the caption, revealing both the baby’s name and birth date.
The images showed the infant wrapped in a white blanket, along with close-up shots of his hand and nose. Additional photos captured Puth holding his son and Sansone wearing a necklace with the letter “J.” The post included Polaroid pictures from the hospital with handwritten notes documenting early moments with their baby. One note, dated March 14, read, “Playing Jude ‘In My Life’ by The Beatles.” Another note celebrated a milestone: “He drank over 30 ml of formula! A new record.”
The 34-year-old musician first revealed the pregnancy news in October through the music video for his song “Changes,” which featured his wife. A press release for the video described it as including a “sweet cameo from his real-life wife Brooke Sansone.”
Puth confirmed the pregnancy during an Oct. 21 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
When asked about a scene where he rubbed his wife’s belly, Puth acknowledged he “didn’t leave much up to the imagination” and confirmed they were expecting in March.
“I’m gonna be a dad,” Puth said, noting he had been instructed not to reveal the baby’s gender at that time. “I hope baby likes music because it’s the only thing I’m good at.”
The couple married in 2024 at Puth’s family home in Montecito, California, according to Vogue.
